Listen I'm sure as a first time traveler your overwhelmed. Try to take a second because everything in your house doesn't need to go with you.

Think about it, your gana be in a new place with plenty of food and thing you can pick up while you're there so if you leave something small behind you can get it there.

Think of the essentials:

  • Toiletries (tooth brush, paste, shampoo, conditioner etc)

  • Scrubs

  • Clothes to wear on your days off. So no more than 4 outfits and a couple of cute ones if you want to go out because you'll be working 3-4 days out of the week.

  • If you have dogs get them (😂😂) dog bowls, leashes, Dog food, toys, dog beds.

-I actually got yearly shots and checkups done before I left because it was due the next month. Might as well get it out of the way so you don't have to worry about it. If you're going to be there for more than 3 months go ahead and get more flea and tick medicine.

  • Toilet paper just in case they don't have any when you first get there.

  • Ask if they have towels and wash clothes, if so you don't have to bring your own. Unless your like me and weird.

  • If you meal prep get your containers so when you get there all you have to do is buy the food. (Check if the place your renting has pots and pans)

I ended up packing way to much so I hope this helps.

And this is advice from you friendly neighborhood Nurse ❤️

Do I still want to be a nurse?

Of course!!! 😂😂😂 Does it drive me insane when I walk in the door and a patient family member walks up to me, even though I haven't...
